Tommy Telugu Movie Reviews And Ratings

Art And Entertainment Published on

Satyam Master (Rajendra Prasad) is a very famous teacher of Bhimavaram. One day, he came across a dog at the station and decided to adopt him. His wife (Sita) does not agree at first, but she later agrees to her husband's wishes. The couple named the dog Tommy, and he quickly became a cherished member of the family. The story takes a twist when an unfortunate incident changes the lives of the entire family. What is this incident? What problems will the family face? And what will become of the dog in the end? To get the answers to these questions, you'll have to watch the movie on the big screen.

Strong Points:-

The main attraction of this movie is Tommy the dog. The way the dogs were trained to appear in this movie is amazing. All the scenes with Dog and Rajendra Prasad are very emotional and well executed. Rajendra Prasad played his role perfectly and did a great job. It holds the movie together and adds depth to the interesting story. Sita does well in the roles of her wife and L.B. Sriram. The first half of the movie consists of good, decent family moments. Children will especially love the dog and its role. Minus points:

After portraying a beautiful relationship between a dog and its owner, the producers hurriedly shuffled the second half and ending of the film. There was a lot of room for emotional drama, but the director completely missed it. There may have been enough scenes to highlight the pain and sadness of the family. At some point in the second half, the film loses its meaning and reverses the foreseeable ending. There are some scenes that could have been completely avoided. The romantic song between Rajendra Prasad and Sita seems totally irrelevant and vulgar. While the original Hollywood had many heartbreaking moments, this film is sorely lacking. It seems natural that this movie would be set in a small town. The camera work is also good and beautifully brings out the rural community. The script is okay, but it stalls in the second half. Director Raja Reddy Vanem has succeeded in convincingly presenting a good story, including the first half. However, the film lacks the essential emotional thread and ends abruptly.

verdict:-

Overall, "Tommy" has an interesting premise and great content. The first half of the movie is decent and holds the viewer's attention. However, the second half lacks emotion, and the film is just so-so. Kids and animal lovers will love it too. The Tommy Telugu movie was released on March 13, 2015, but it failed to meet the expectations of the audience. Also check out the Kushanam movie review.
