Tgi Friday’s Pasta: This Spicy Cajun Chicken Recipe Hits The Spot
Food And Drinks Published onRooster is one of the most popular dishes. Another common dish is the TGI Friday pasta dish. I have a recipe for spicy cajun chicken pasta similar to the one served at TGI on Fridays. Try it out and see what you think.
This recipe makes 4 servings. If you want it a little or a lot spicier, you can add cayenne pepper to your chicken seasoning or sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon on top when you're cooking the vegetables.
Material:
8 oz. Linguine
4 chicken breasts (skinless and boneless)
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, like Tony Cashele
4 tablespoons of butter
2 green peppers
1 purple pepper
8 mushrooms
4 green onions
3 cups heavy cream; substitute some of the whole milk for a lower fat content.
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
half teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
grated parmesan cheese
Instructions:
First, boil water for the pasta according to the instructions on the package. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Next, fry the chicken in butter. You can also use olive oil. While the chicken is cooking, chop the vegetables. Once the chicken is cooked through, add the vegetables. I like to cook the chicken so it's slightly browned. I think it adds a little more flavor and texture to the dish. When the vegetables are cooked for a few minutes, reduce the heat and pour in the cream. Mix until all the ingredients are completely mixed. Mix the seasonings here as well. Take the drained pasta, place it in a serving bowl, and pour the chicken mixture over the pasta. You can mix everything together or not, depending on your preference. When finished, top each portion with Parmesan cheese.
