Rudrama Devi Telugu Movie Review Rating

Art And Entertainment Published on

The story of this film is set in the ancient Kakatiya of Orgal. This majestic kingdom is ruled by Raja Ganapati Devdu (Krishnam Raju), who has no male heir. Time passes, and a woman, Ganapati Devdu, gives birth to a baby girl, Rudrama Devi (Anushka). Long after he learned that he had no male heir, the king, fearing that the enemies of the Devagiri dynasty would attack him, adopted Rudrama Devi into the empire as Prince Rudra Devdu. Rudrama Devi grew up as a warrior and keeps his identity secret. The twist in the story occurs when everything in Kakatiya stems from the knowledge that the young prince is actually a girl. What will Rudra Devdu do now? Will he declare Rudrama Devi king and fight against his enemies? And what role do Gonna Gunna Reddy (Allu Arjun) and Chalukya (Rana) play in this whole setup? To get answers to all these questions, you need to watch the movie on the big screen.

Strong Points:-

What's notable is the breadth of the film's scope. The huge budget spent is clearly visible in the form of the huge sets and his VFX work. Allu Arjun is definitely the highlight of the film. Gunasekhar has crafted his character very well, and Bunny has done a great job with his diction and rugged looks. It's remarkable how stylishly this star has added a touch of humor to his character. Anushka resembles the royal queen Rudrama Devi, and she worked with dedication. She works very hard in the war scenes and looks very attractive in the songs. Rana plays her role well and supports Anushka's endeavors skillfully. Prakash Raj and Krishnam Raju adapted well to their respective roles. After a long gap, Suman gets an evil and very capable role. The first half of the film is quite decent and furthers Rudrama Devi's growth as a prince. Some of the visuals and the way the character, Allu Arjun, is introduced are excellent. This movie has a lot of great visual elements that are well executed by the work of VFX.

Minus points:-

One of the main drawbacks is that the story is boring. After making a decent first half, Gunsekar let the film down due to poor direction. It took time to establish Rudrama Devi as a queen, and his character was not strengthened much. There are too many characters in the story. The way certain characters are introduced also doesn't have the desired effect. Stars like Nithya Menen and Catherine Tresa were completely immersed in their roles. The second half of the movie has a lot of lag and takes forever to reach the climax. Gunasekar is also unable to generate the emotions needed for vital functions. The songs in the second half only slow down the movie. The second half of the scenario is subpar, with many scenes taking a long time to unfold.

Ilayaraja's score is below average, but his background score is decent in parts. The dialogues are very good, and especially the dialogues he wrote for Allu Arjun are worth mentioning. The camera work is top quality and really emphasizes the royal look. The palace decorations, costumes, and various accessories are well designed. The production values are of the highest quality, and the makers have worked tirelessly to give the film a great look. Rudrama Devi combines colorful images. There were several VFX scenes of him that were well implemented, and at the same time, the graphics were used in several episodes of Stupid War. When I came to director Gunasekhar, he poured his heart and soul into this film. He used his cards for much of the first half, setting up some interesting long-range shots. Unfortunately, however, things get tough in the second half and don't give us the scenes we need. verdict:-

Overall, 'Rudrama Devi' is a good attempt by Gunasekhar. A strong star cast, rich visuals, and great character Arul Arjun take this movie to a decent level. However, the slow narration and slowness of the film make the second half a pain. The movie has created a lot of buzz and is sure to get a big theatrical release. Finally, if you keep your expectations in check and go with the flow of the movie, its lavish filmmaking and historical flow can easily make this movie a hit. The movie Rudramadevi was released on October 9, 2015, and received a great response from the audience. Here is my review of the latest news about Telugu movies.
