ECDL and ICDL qualifications

After extensive research, I found that the ideal qualification for myself and professional IT (information technology) users in general is ECDL (also known as ICDL). The ECDL (European Computer Driving License) and ICDL (International Computer Driving License) qualifications cover the essential applications needed to improve productivity in the modern workplace. This qualification is recognized worldwide in over 148 countries and is regularly expanded. Both ECDL and ICDL have the same curriculum and exam procedures. ECDL was originally established in 1997 for European countries, but due to its success, it was expanded to countries outside Europe in 1999, and ICDL was established. ECDL and ICDL qualifications have different levels of competency, from beginner to advanced.

Having worked as an IT user for many years, my goal was to take my current skills to an advanced level. That's why we have selected four advanced modules available. However, IT beginners are recommended to complete the entry-level and core modules first before moving on to the advanced modules.

My goal was to complete all four advanced modules within three months. The reason was that my current employer was facing layoffs at the time, and I needed to update my skills to make my resume more attractive to future employers.

The ECDL and ICDL qualifications have given me the flexibility to learn new skills in the comfort of my own home, at a time that suits me. All I have to do is first go to my local exam center to register my qualifications and take the exam.

test structure

The Advanced Certification is divided into four modules. Learners receive a certificate each time they pass a module. Once a learner passes all four of her advanced modules, they can apply for additional expert certifications at no additional cost.

The advanced test consists of 20 questions, each worth 5 points (percentage). To achieve the minimum score, a test taker must achieve her minimum score of 75 points (percentage) within one hour. Results I completed all four advanced modules (within 2 months) and also applied for and received my Expert certification. As a result of my success, this qualification has helped me get a new job, increase my productivity, and gain confidence.

In my opinion, the ECDL Advanced and ICDL Advanced qualifications are suitable for those who need to demonstrate (based on international standards) that they are fully capable of using common computer applications (Microsoft Office) at an advanced level. Targeted.
