Summer is the perfect season for crockpot recipes. It may be hot and humid outside, but you still need to prepare dinner for you and your family. You can't grill every day. The weather won't allow it. Sandwiches and salads are great, but sometimes you want a hearty meal at the end of the day. When I get home from work, I don't want to bring a sandwich with me. 2.5 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 cup barbecue sauce water 1/2c

4 medium potatoes (unpeeled, cut into 8 pieces)

8 carrots, cut into 5cm pieces

What you do:

In a medium bowl, combine salt, pepper, and flour. Cut the steak into small pieces. Add the steaks, one at a time, to the flour mixture. coat. Add onions, meat, Worcestershire, carrots, celery, and tomato sauce to the bottom of the pot. Cover and simmer on low heat for 8–10 hours.

Cheese, Ravioli, and Sausage

What you need:

1 lb. Italian sausage without casing, browned and drained

9-ounce package of refrigerated cheese ravioli

24-28 oz. jar spaghetti sauce

141/2 oz. can Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained

1/2 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated

What you do:

Combine sausage, spaghetti sauce, and tomatoes in a crock pot; mix well. Cook, covered, for 7 hours on low. Mix in the ravioli, cover, and cook for 30 minutes. Turn off the slow cooker, top with cheese, and cover. Let stand for 5–10 minutes, or until cheese is melted; serve. Country-style pork ribs

What you need:

4-5 pound country-style pork ribs

2 cans (14.5 oz) of stewed or Italian-style diced tomatoes
1 onion (chopped)

1 large bell pepper (chopped)

2 celery sticks (sliced)

1/2 c red wine or red wine vinegar water 1/2c

1 tbsp. beef or chicken stock (whatever you have in stock)

3 tablespoons of olive oil

Garlic salt to taste

Appropriate amount of salt and black pepper

What you do:

Heat oil in a large pot. Rub the ribs with garlic salt, salt, and pepper. Add the ribs to the skillet and sear over high heat until browned on both sides (1-2 minutes per side). Place the ribs and remaining ingredients in a 6-quart Dutch oven, cover, and cook over low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
