Build Wealth Through Consistent Action
Finance Published onBuilding wealth should be part of your daily plan. Do you have a plan to achieve the lifestyle you want? Each of us has the same amount of time in our daily lives. So why do some people seem to have more than that? He identifies three myths about why some people accomplish more than others that are false. Let's reveal that.
1) Resource myth: Everyone seems to bring this up first. They likely bring money, family, or other resources with them. The problem is, we're not counting the people who built themselves from scratch. It's amazing how many people start from nothing and have achieved success in life. You don't need a lot of resources to be successful. In fact, vast resources can limit success. Large companies are less flexible and less likely to act quickly enough to take advantage of opportunities. Don't stop with limited resources. Get creative and take action.
2) The Myth of Connections: They were only successful because they had connections to fancy schools. Or maybe from work or other places. Since I don't have these connections, it will be difficult for me to succeed. I ask you: Do you think you were born knowing about these people? Most people are not born with a predetermined list of influential people. Each of us can make these contacts. Start now and take action. Make a list of the top 20 people you would like to meet in your field. Explore to find the latest interviews, articles, and talks. Write or contact them to let them know you value their work. Choose the right balance to avoid becoming a stalker. But don't give up. There are many details involved in making this work properly. Learn from others and take action.
3) Attitude Myths: The only thing that isn’t actually a myth. Attitude is the biggest reason why people fail. Our internal belief systems limit us like no other in life. When Roger Bannister broke the four-minute mile time, he made more than one change. For centuries, it was thought impossible for him to run this fast. This death would happen to anyone who ran that fast. When we see the impossible become possible and barriers are removed, it gives us hope that we too can achieve it. It doesn't matter how much revenue your business makes; you probably don't have a system in place to generate 10x that. We cannot solve today's problems with the same thinking that created them. To achieve your desired goals, you need to change your mindset and attitude. Challenge yourself and find areas of your business where you couldn't handle a 10-fold increase. Once you've identified them, you can create a daily plan to fix them. Continuously repeating the right actions will lead to further prosperity. Focus on improving each area by 1% each month. In Japan, it is called "Kaizen." Small incremental improvements add up over time to big gains.
