The film is expected to release in 2017 and is helmed by popular Tamil director Shankar. Akshay acted in many movies in 2016 like Airlift, Housefull 3, Rustom, and Namaastey England. Talking about her current projects, she is currently promoting Housefull 3, which will release on June 3, 2016. The project also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan. Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon, and Nargis Fakhri are the leading ladies of the film. This movie is the third installment of the "Housefull" series after "Housefull 2." Earlier, Sajid Khan was the director of both episodes, and now Sajid Khan has been replaced by the Sajid Farhad writing duo. The film is expected to release on June 3, 2016. 

Akshay will next be seen in Rustom, where he will play a naval officer in the Indian army. This movie revolves around a murder mystery. Aisha Gupta and Ileana D'Cruz are the leading ladies of the film. Currently, the film will be released on August 12, but this may change to avoid conflicts with other films. Akshay Kumar will be seen in Namaste, England, opposite Sonakshi Sinha, directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.
