Food And Drinks Published on

As winter approaches, you'll want to gear up your kitchen and start preparing hearty meals that will keep your family cozy during the colder months.

Some of the best and most effective diets for this purpose are also the simplest. For example, stews are a great way to ward off the cold.

So if you're looking for a quick and easy recipe so your family doesn't fall victim to Jack Frost, you're in luck. Here are two easy recipes you can try right away. Super time-saving stew

This recipe is ideal for time-pressed cooks. Using a pressure cooker, you can prepare delicious meals for four people in just 30 minutes.

This recipe requires:

2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Beef steak, 1kg diced
2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
6 potatoes (peeled and cut into quarters)
6 carrots, chopped
2 onions, cut into wedges
1¾ cup beef soup
1 1/2 cups of water
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon browning and seasoning sauce

And this is what you do:

Heat vegetable oil in a pressure cooker over high heat.
Next, add the beef, salt, and pepper, and stir-fry for about 10 minutes with the lid on.
Remove the pressure cooker from heat and add potatoes, carrots, onions, beef broth, and 1 cup water. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and increase the pressure over high heat.
When the pressure control starts to wobble, reduce the heat to medium and cook for 8 minutes.
Remove the pressure cooker from the heat and slowly reduce the pressure until no steam comes out of the vent.

In a small bowl, combine the remaining water, flour, browning, and seasoning sauce.
Then remove the lid of the pressure cooker, add the mixture to the stew, and stir. Simmer, uncovered, on medium heat for another 8–10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Hearty Beef Stew If you don't have a pressure cooker and have more than 30 minutes to spare, this beef stew recipe is equally delicious and not too complicated to prepare. This recipe takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to prepare and serves up to 4 people.

This recipe requires:

Beef steak 1kg diced
2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 medium onions (chopped)
2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
1 cup or bag of beef soup
2 cups of water
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
4 cups baby potatoes, cut in half
3 carrots (sliced)

And this is what you do:

Mix the beef cubes and flour in a bowl.
Heat the salad oil in a pot over medium heat and fry the beef. Remove it and set it aside.
Next, add the onions and garlic to the same pot and stir for about 4 minutes. Combine beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, and beef cubes.
Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, stirring until the beef broth is dissolved. Then lower the heat and cover the pot. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender, about 40 minutes.
Then add the potatoes and carrots and cook for another 40 minutes until everything is completely soft and ready to eat.
